These nieces and nephews have never met Cathal before but not only are they happy to have this stranger take over their care and set out ground rules but they are actively encouraging a relationship between him and Hilton. The pair, who have never so much as touched each other, are suddenly in bed together and are acting like a long-term couple.

When Cathal discovers that his father is terminally ill, he heads back home to look after his nieces and nephews that are currently cared for by his dad and a few days later, Hilton flies out to see him. Having so much wealth, he has protection in case the murderer is still out there. After Hilton’s parents died in a plane crash when he was little, he has always believed that it was murder and that he was meant to die that day too.

We meet both men at their workplace in New York. It’s all so very awkward and the way they talk to each other is more like strangers. These two have been hiding their true feelings towards each other for years but their conversations and behaviour doesn’t make this believable. We have multi-gazillionaire Hilton and his personal bodyguard and head of security, Cathal. These reminders and the way Hilton’s character goes on and on about it, whether it be to give to charity, to help out friends and family or to threaten people, only makes him less likable every time it’s mentioned.įrom the very beginning, I just didn’t get the dynamics between the two MC’s. I’m not entirely sure but is it possible that Hilton has a lot of money at his disposal? Yes it is and I know this because every few sentences, I was reminded that he ‘could buy Montana if he wanted to’. And finally admitting their love turns out to be the least of their worries… Soon, they’re dealing with children and an old friend who can’t take “no” for an answer. Hilton and Cathal have spent years dancing around each other, but when Cathal needs help, Hilton comes to Montana to back him up.

And now, having to return to Sunburst, Montana, to deal with family problems, Cathal knows there’s no chance for the two of them to get together. He even admits to himself that he just might be in love with Cathal, even though they’ve never even slept together.Ĭathal McKinley accepts how much he wants his boss, Hilton Burke, but he’s pretty sure there’s no way Hilton will want to date him. Every time he sees Cathal McKinley, his head of security, Hilton can’t help wishing they could be more than just employer and employee. Hilton Burke might be one of the most powerful men in the world, but he can’t seem to get what he wants the most.
